As Assistant Body Shop Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Body Shop Manager to ensure the effective and efficient operation of our body shop. Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Body Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining high-quality repair standards.
  • Ability to write, submit and follow estimates to insurance companies.
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling of repair work to meet customer deadlines while optimizing shop capacity and resources.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance skill development and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of parts and materials, working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Support the Body Shop Manager in managing administrative tasks, including recordkeeping, reporting, and performance evaluations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.

IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive repair or management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a body shop or automotive repair setting.
  • Previous experience in an automotive body shop setting, with a strong understanding of collision repair processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using industry-related software and technology.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
