What You’ll Do:
- Drive Major Victories: Craft powerful motions, oppositions, appellate briefs, and legal memoranda in cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.
- Shape Case Law: Handle dispositive motions—including summary judgment and demurrers—on matters that set precedent and protect employee rights.
- Be the Strategic Engine: Conduct advanced legal research and offer critical guidance on the most challenging employment law issues, helping steer trial teams toward winning legal theories and strategies.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with top-tier trial attorneys to build compelling arguments, frame evidence, and outmaneuver defense teams at every turn.
- Strengthen Case Fundamentals: Review, refine, and elevate discovery responses and strategies to maximize leverage and outcomes.
- Influence Settlements: Play a pivotal role in mediation and settlement positioning, using legal acumen to secure the best results for clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
- At least 4 years devoted to law and motion work, with substantial employment law litigation experience
- Proven excellence in legal research, analysis, and writing (writing sample required)
- Mastery of California and federal court rules and procedures
- Strategic mindset and the ability to independently drive complex legal projects to completion
- Energized by fast-moving, high-volume litigation and passionate about social justice
