The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Bioinformatics Analyst to work at the UHealth medical campus.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Bioinformatics Analyst works with research staff to extend capabilities in bioinformatics and improve understanding of genetic variation in human health and disease. The Bioinformatics Analyst maintains and performs analysis with existing pipelines while assisting and benchmarking the development of novel methods.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
Department Specific Functions
No strict post-degree training experience is required; however, evidence of motivation in computation immuno-oncology as evidenced by authorship of peer-reviewed publication(s) or 1-2 examples of analytic pipeline development and/or execution is preferred. Knowledge and training in single cell sequencing analysis is required. Interest and experience in NGS and other ‘omics data analysis (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, TCR-seq, whole exome sequencing, etc.) is desirable. Background in cancer research and immunology is preferred.
