Job Description

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Old Providence South neighborhood in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their two daughters, a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, and Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 pm -5:00 pm, with 30 hours guaranteed. The nanny should have flexibility for slight schedule changes depending on the family’s work schedule, and be able to work nights and weekends.

The best nanny for this family would be flexible, proactive, able to anticipate the family’s needs, and have experience in caring for multiple children. This role requires someone who is highly active and engaged, with a focus on keeping screen time limited and encouraging movement, creativity, and hands-on play. Responsibilities include planning fun and educational activities such as arts and crafts, singing, taking the children to gymnastics and the Little Gym, and scheduling fun age-appropriate outings throughout the community. Their daughter will need assistance with homework and school projects. Potty training support for their 2-year-old is also part of the role, so prior experience in this area is a plus.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children(Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the children on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the children both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the children

Household Duties Include (Children are first priority):

• Children’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Children’s meal prep, including breakfast and lunch

• Unloading/loading the dishwasher

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the children

• Picking up after the nanny and the children throughout the day

• Emptying the diaper pail

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on Childhood vaccinations. The COVID-19 vaccine is preferred

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts ASAP

• Legal pay is offered at $25-$30 an hour, depending on experience
