Job Description



As a Housekeeper at VI Resorts by Westgate, you will play a vital role in creating clean, welcoming spaces that make our guests feel right at home. From owner rooms to resort common areas, your attention to detail and friendly attitude will help bring the VI Resorts experience to life. As a Housekeeper, you will:

  • Consistently deliver high-quality, timely cleaning for all assigned rooms, keeping standards top-notch.
  • Strip units and remove all trash efficiently to prepare for thorough cleaning.
  • Clean all areas—including bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, and decks—with attention to detail.
  • Deep clean bathrooms (bathtubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors) using proper tools.
  • Strip and make beds, change linens, and carefully handle all soiled laundry.
  • Promptly report any damage or stains on carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens.
  • Maintain a unit inspection score of 80% or higher, meeting resort expectations.
  • Use equipment and supplies correctly, following all safety and operational procedures.
  • Immediately report any Lost & Found items according to resort guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the team and assist with additional duties as needed.
  • Ensure each unit is fully stocked with all necessary inventory and houseware supplies.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork to keep units fresh and clean inside and out.
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays regularly.
  • Help train new team members to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and resort operations

Qualifications



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Good physical stamina; able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Friendly, professional, and respectful with guests and team members.
  • Understanding and respect for guest privacy and property.
  • Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 35 pounds
