Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facility. The Janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all employees, visitors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, restrooms, and common areas
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels)
• Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas
• Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and surfaces
• Clean glass surfaces, including windows and doors
• Perform basic maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs and reporting repair needs
• Restock cleaning supplies and report inventory needs
• Lock and unlock doors and secure buildings as required
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or maintenance work is a plus
• Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, buffers)
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends if needed
