• Provides leadership, direction and supervision to children 3-5 years of age during large and small group activities
• Provides leadership to supporting staff.
• Applies educational curriculum to the classroom.
• Fosters positive relationships with all children and families through providing age-appropriate discipline that maintains respect for the child and open communication with families.

• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Posses a cooperative spirit committed to character development by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to staff, lay leaders, YMCA members, program participants and the community.
• Ability to lead a classroom and staff.
• Knowledge of licensing requirements and regulations
• Skilled in organizing and executing age appropriate activities for children.
• Meet one of the following education requirements:
  • Current Early Childhood Professional credential level III version 2.0 as determined by the Colorado Department of Education
  • Child Development Associate (CDA)
  • B.A. in early childhood education
  • B.A. in elementary education
  • B.A. in special education
  • Colorado Director Qualified
