Job Description

Our well-respected global client is hiring an LCB to manage air and ocean import and export brokerage activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Direct all aspects of entry writing, clearance, documentation, traffic, and billing.
Guide customers and colleagues on taxes, duties, bonds, insurance, tariffs, restrictions, fees, etc.
Enforce compliance with laws, rules and regulations of all countries and agencies involved.
Manage P&L, analyze data, and address problem areas.
Collaborate with government agencies as needed.
Conduct audits, address errors, recommend improvements, and amend SOPs as needed.
Stay current with industry updates, regulations, publications, and events.
Assist with training, work flow and assignments, processes, and escalations.
Handle complex shipments, classifications, exam procedures, and post-entry.
Evaluate all processes and propose enhancements as appropriate.

Main Requirements:
Valid US Customs Broker License and current knowledge of logistics/clearance/brokerage operations.
Experience with a freight forwarder/NVOCC/CHB.
Knowledge of HTS, classification, ISF, agency holds, exams, POA, post-entry work, etc.
Ability to establish efficient work flow to ensure timely clearance and avoid delays and penalties.
Computer proficient, relationship-savvy, enthusiastic, proactive, resourceful, problem-solver.
Professional and clear written and verbal communication skills.
