Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician
Pay Rate: $21- $23/hr.
Shift: Open availability is required

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Microbiology Lab Technician to support laboratory operations through sample processing, data recording, quality assurance, and general lab maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within a laboratory or scientific setting.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming laboratory samples accurately and efficiently
- Record detailed and accurate data in laboratory systems
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks within the laboratory
- Conduct facility and field sampling of products and water
- Operate laboratory equipment such as scales and autoclaves
- Prepare media for microbiological testing
- Perform pipetting and serial dilutions
- Retrieve samples from various locations as needed
- Clean and maintain glassware, lab areas, and utensils
- Follow laboratory safety and cleanliness standards
- Complete all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills:
- Laboratory skills, including aseptic technique (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid math skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Clean DMV record
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus)
- Science background (a plus)
- Professional demeanor and teamwork skills (a plus)
Work Environment:
- Laboratory and field-based work
- Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks
