As a Peer Support Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting individuals on their journey to personal growth and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing empathetic, one-on-one peer support to individuals in need.
- Sharing your own lived experiences to inspire and encourage others.
- Assisting individuals in identifying and working toward personal goals.
- Helping connect individuals with community resources and services.
- Maintaining confidentiality and fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar or related role.
- A strong ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- A compassionate, non-judgmental, and patient approach to supporting others.
- A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
