  2. Design high-voltage DC/DC converters, rectifiers, inverters, diode drivers, and power distribution units.
  3. Create rugged wire harnesses and specify connectors, cables, and components.
  4. Prototype and assemble electronics systems for field testing.
  5. Execute electrical, vibration, shock, and environmental tests.
  6. Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews to optimize electronics for production.
  7. Collaborate with mechanical, optical, and robotics teams to integrate electronics into systems.
  8. Generate detailed schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  9. Ensure compliance with MIL-STD, ITAR, and relevant safety standards.

Core requirements:

  1. 3 to 8 years of experience in power electronics or electrical engineering roles in defense, aerospace, or robotics.
  2. Proficiency with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Altium Designer, or equivalent electrical design tools.
  3. Hands-on experience with battery management systems and high-voltage electronics.
  4. Experience designing and assembling rugged wire harnesses and electronics systems.
  5. Familiarity with thermal management, EMI/EMC considerations, and defense-grade specifications.
  6. Experience prototyping, testing, and validating electronics in harsh environments.
  7. BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
  8. Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  9. Ability to iterate rapidly and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have:

  1. Experience with long-duration deployment of electronics in harsh environments.
  2. Familiarity with MIL-STD standards and ITAR compliance.
  3. Background in EMI/EMC design and shielding.
  4. Security clearance or eligibility for one.
  5. Experience in field-deployed defense systems.
