Upwork has partnered with an Enterprise client who is a multinational organization that develops consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
They are seeking a contractor to lead the maintenance, enhancement, and long-term enablement of an RPA solution that automates invoice and service documentation processing across 30+ suppliers for Patient Programs. This role is critical to achieving their ideal future state: a robust, monitored, and integrated automation ecosystem that passively feeds accurate data into our single source of truth (SSOT) Tableau dashboard for impact measurement.
New Adds Maintenance & Enhancements
• Maintain and enhance the existing Blue Prism RPA process and ABBYY OCR ingestion of supplier invoices into SharePoint
• Support logic updates, supplier onboarding, and minor technical enhancements as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues using Python and SQL to ensure clean, accurate data flow from RPA process to the SharePoint List builds to the dashboard
o Develop validation rules to uncover gaps opportunities across the RPA dataset
o Ensure data is reliably and consistently displayed in the Tableau SSOT dashboard, enabling passive performance measurement and business decision-making
• Analytical skills including and not limited to data management and analysis, data governance, problem solving, OCR technology, web technology, and programming (HTML, Python, SQL) proficiency
• Solid understanding of invoice processing
• Recent experience within automation tools (like Blue Prism)
• Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Power Automate, Dynamics, CRM) is a plus
• Process-oriented thinker with a strategic mindset and strong attention to detail
• Strong Communication Skills - ability to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders (between Business and Technical Development team)
• Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and new information, as well as problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team setting, fostering a positive working environment and contributing to team goals
