Responsibilities:
The Sr. Production Manager will have full responsibility for the daily Operations in Receiving, Carton Flow Rack, Processing, Packing, Storage, Picking and Shipping areas. In addition to the above responsibilities this individual is in charge of facility maintenance and the uniform program. This position will report directly to the VP Operations.
Total responsibility for the daily Operations of the above areas
Supervisors and Lead positions report to this position
35 + employees report under this group
Manages a $1.8 million budget for his areas
Ensure proper training for all employees and schedule them appropriately
Coordinate all activities in these areas
Drive lean manufacturing philosophy and practices
Initiation and review of all SOP’s to support these areas activities
Work with Quality Specialist to assure all SOP’s and training documentation is current
Ensure all KPI’s are met and reported to upper management
Handle performance reviews and lead, coach, and train all employees toward a team concept
Ensure that all employees are working safety and in a safe work environment
Develop and implement new processes which assist PLI in reaching all goals
Project and maintain proper staffing and make recommendations to management
Monitor inbound returns activity and continuous flow of work to processors and packers
Monitor all employees to ensure compliance to guidelines and SOP’s set forth by PLI
Assure accurate and timely shipment of all RAs from current and future date areas
Monitor and develop KPI’s for specific areas
Complete work goals as directed
Work with IT to improve computer system to benefit operations
Requirements
Required skills
A minimum of 5 years direct management/supervisory experience in Operations.
Pharmaceutical experience a plus
College Degree in related field or equivalent job experience
Interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem solving
Excellent training abilities
Decision making and follow through skills
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a diverse work force
