Job Description

Adira at Riverside is seeking a full time Social Worker Assistant
The ideal candidate must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen career. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will strive to create and maintain a warm atmosphere and a positive experience for residents, visitors, and staff. Maintaining excellent working relationships is also important. Leadership abilities and effective communication skills are necessary for this position.
Previous nursing home SW experience is needed.
Qualifications for a Social Worker Assistant :
Additional Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work from accredited college or university and internship required.
Sufficient experience in order to perform daily tasks with an understanding of the duties involved.
Prefer knowledge of Long Term Care Facility Responsibilities.
Provides considerate respectful care focused upon the Residents' individual needs.
Assists the Resident in the exercise of his/her rights and informs the Resident of any responsibility’s incumbent upon him/her in the exercise of those rights.
Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret information in terms of the needs of the age of the Residents cared for.
Demonstrates an understanding of the range of care needed based on the age of the Residents cared for.
Demonstrates knowledge of growth, development and/or adult health throughout the life span as appropriate to the job performed.
Successfully completes life-span education as appropriate
Skills of Social Worker Assistant :
All qualified applicants should possess the following qualities:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to respect all members of the healthcare team strong documentation skills
Solid work history with excellent attendance and punctuality patience, understanding and compassion for those requiring our care
